About 130 of 155 lines are identical in four appliance repositories, and two
fixes had to be ported by hand on 2026-09-27: the container markers and the
apparmor pair. Each appliance should keep only its own assertions.

It is not a fab unit: a unit is build time content that enters an image, and
this never does. It belongs here, beside the reusable workflows and
bin/require-changelog, which test-appliance.yml already checks out.

The cost is real and must be paid for: test logic behind the same @main as
the workflows, in the repository with the widest blast radius, so the shared
file needs its own gate.

Closes at the fourth caller, LAMP or LAPP, per the one-at-a-time rule of
handbook decision 0010.
