Context
Keel Core is the base appliance every other Keel appliance is built on. The testing build Core 19.0-8 (step 10) is published as an LXC template for Proxmox VE. We need reports from people running it on their own Proxmox hosts, not only on ours.

What to do

  1. Download the template and its checksum from the pre-release: https://github.com/Keel-Linux/keel-core/releases/tag/testing-19.0-8-step10-20261003
  2. Check it: sha512sum -c debian-13-keel-core_19.0-8+step10-20261003_amd64.tar.zst.sha512
  3. Copy the .tar.zst to your Proxmox template storage (for the default local storage: /var/lib/vz/template/cache/).
  4. Create an unprivileged container from it (Debian OS type, nesting=1, a bridge with IPv6 and/or IPv4). Use a test host or a nested Proxmox, not production.
  5. Start it and open the Console in the Proxmox web UI. Go through the first-boot screens and note each one.
  6. Fill in this checklist in a comment on this issue:
    • Proxmox VE version (pveversion), storage type, privileged or unprivileged
    • First boot finished without hanging; which screens appeared
    • Login banner: what it shows (name, version, addresses)
    • systemctl --failed output
    • confconsole opens and the main screen lists the right addresses
    • keel diff output
    • Webmin answers on https://[your-address]:12321 and you can log in as root
    • Anything that says "TurnKey" where you expected "Keel" (check #7 and Keel-Linux/common#33 first, those are known)
  7. Open a separate issue for each bug you find, in the repository it belongs to, and link it from your comment.

Done when
At least one complete checklist is posted here. Several reports from different Proxmox versions are welcome; the issue is closed by a maintainer once the build has enough coverage.
