Follow-up to keel-transition#9. TurnKey 19.0 writes the cron-apt install actions (/etc/cron-apt/action-available.d/5-install.default and 5-install.alt) with Dir::Etc::sourcelist=/etc/apt/sources.list.d/security.sources.sources. --apply sets that file aside. So after a transition the daily cron-apt read a missing file and installed no security update, Debian's or Keel's, and the Keel stanza of 0.2.2 was never read.

  • --apply points both actions at security.sources, and keeps each original in /var/lib/keel/transition/cron-apt. It does this only when Debian's sources could be written. An action that already reads security.sources is kept.
  • --rollback puts each original back, byte for byte.
  • Version 0.2.3, README and man page.

Tests: written first, in tests/turnkey19.bats: apt reads both trixie-security suites with the options of each action, --apply twice, --rollback, and an appliance without cron-apt.

TurnKey 19.0 writes the cron-apt install actions with Dir::Etc::sourcelist
security.sources.sources, the file that --apply sets aside. After a
transition the daily cron-apt read a missing file and installed no
security update, so the Keel security suite of 0.2.2 was never read.
--apply now points both actions at security.sources and keeps each
original for --rollback.
