Delete branch "ci/require-changelog"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
A change that ships and carries no changelog entry cannot be installed, so it never reaches an appliance. That happened today in confconsole: the Instance menu and the console mark were merged with no entry, the code was on the default branch, the gate was green, and the image did not have it.
package / changelogrefuses such a pull request. Tests, documentation and CI ship nothing and are exempt, which is why this change itself needs no entry. The rule isbin/require-changelogof the.githubrepository, a script with a bats suite at 100 percent of its lines.Test plan
.github/, and must pass by reporting that nothing that ships changed.package / changelogto the required checks onmain.
