COT — Chain of Trust

A decentralized identity protocol built on cooperative trust.

COT lets people prove who they are without depending on governments or corporations. Instead, identity is verified by cooperatives — organizations owned and governed by their own members. Each cooperative vouches for its members, and cooperatives vouch for each other, forming a chain of trust.

The result is an identity system where no single entity controls who gets an identity or who can verify one. It works offline, respects privacy by default, and is designed to include people who are typically left out of digital identity systems.
