image-gate

The boot test of the image build per merge (handbook decision 0061).

  • .forgejo/workflows/image-boot.yml boots a staged image on the runner label keel-lxc. Only the build host starts it, through the Forgejo API, after it pushed the staged release to the drop directory on the runner VM.
  • The issues of this repository are the failed image builds. The build host opens one issue for each failed build.

The bot user keel-image-bot has write access to this repository and to no other one. Branch protection keeps it off main.

The runner holds no key. The build host promotes a build to testing only when the run that it dispatched passes.
